Greg Martin, Founder & Principal. For more than 20 years, Greg has guided companies through growth and change from inside the finance function. He has held finance leadership roles at a global enterprise (Activision Blizzard) as well as at high-growth software businesses (including a private equity-backed SaaS firm). This extensive background gives him a 360° perspective on what drives business success in varying stages and environments.
Greg is known for combining rigorous analytical skills with a collaborative, business-focused approach. He’s a firm believer in “storytelling with numbers” – translating complex financial information into clear insights for leadership teams, boards, and investors. As a finance business partner, Greg has worked closely with CEOs, CROs, and other executives to drive performance improvements and strategic initiatives. He has a proven track record in investor reporting and board presentations, consistently providing the clarity and narrative that stakeholders demand.
In terms of credentials, Greg earned an MBA from Durham University Business School and is a CIMA-qualified accountant. He founded Rutland Gate Consulting to share his expertise with SaaS companies that need strategic finance support without the full-time cost.
